Instructional Designer

Tower Loan is searching for a full-time Instructional Designer to join the Training team!

We are looking for an individual who is training software savvy and passionate about developing others to their full potential and eager to expand their own knowledge and experience in instructional design.

The successful applicant will assist our team in evaluating and updating all our training content and program which affect virtually every department at Tower Loan. It’s the perfect position for a talented individual to add substantial value to our employees’ lives and the company’s success.

*This position is onsite in Flowood, MS. The successful candidate will report daily to our corporate location.*

Compensation:

  • $55,000 - $65,000 / annually
  • Potential annual bonus of 25% of base salary (see below)

Responsibility Summary:

  • Use educational technology tools and platforms to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of learning experiences, including learning management systems, multimedia authoring tools, videos, animations, interactive modules, simulations, and virtual/augmented reality.
  • Analyze training needs and works closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning goals and performance gaps.
  • Create detailed storyboards and prototypes to visualize instructional designs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain eLearning course materials including instructor manuals, participant guides, evaluations, tests, etc.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and refine content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with instructional goals and standards.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to empower others to successfully deliver, measure, and evaluate a training session.
  • Keep current on the best practices in instructional design.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in instructional design, curriculum design, and/or training material development using various multimedia.
  • One (1) year of experience developing eLearning modules.
  • Experience using learning management systems (LMS).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Solid project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines.

* Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and credit check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using authoring tools (Articulate, Storyline, etc.) to develop and publish eLearning.
  • Experience using AI tools to design training content (Deepbrain, Descript, etc.)
  • Proven success in improving employee engagement through training design.

Work Schedule:

  • Work Schedule: M–F; 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; overtime may be occasionally required due to department and organizational needs.
