Infrastructure Manager

Position Overview:

The Infrastructure Manager will oversee and manage the IT infrastructure for our financial services organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure systems, while overseeing the performance of critical systems and services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware, Fortinet, Cohesity, Windows, IIS, and Beyond Trust, and will have a proven track record in managing large-scale IT environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

· Manage and optimize the performance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including virtualized environments (VMware), networking, storage, and server systems.

· Oversee the management of Fortinet security solutions, ensuring the network infrastructure is secure and aligned with industry’s best practices.

· Administer and optimize backup and disaster recovery solutions using Cohesity.

· Manage and support Server environments, ensuring seamless operation and proactive troubleshooting.

· Ensure high availability and optimal performance for IIS-hosted web applications and services.

Leadership & Team Management:

· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of infrastructure engineers and system administrators.

· Develop and manage team workflows and prioritize tasks based on business needs.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.

Security & Compliance:

· Ensure the infrastructure meets industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements specific to financial services.

· Implement and maintain security protocols and controls, working closely with the cybersecurity team to safeguard sensitive data and systems.

· Manage Beyond Trust remote support systems, ensuring secure, compliant access for internal and external users.

Project Management:

· Lead infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new system implementations, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, software developers, and business leaders, to align infrastructure solutions with business goals.

Monitoring & Performance:

· Implement and monitor proactive monitoring solutions to track system performance, availability, and health across all infrastructure components.

· Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues promptly, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.

· Regularly evaluate infrastructure performance and suggest optimizations for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Vendor Management:

· Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.

· Oversee the procurement, licensing, and support of infrastructure hardware and software.

· Ensure SLAs are met internally and with third-party vendors and internal service teams.

Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Relevant certifications such as VMware vSphere, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent is highly desirable.

Experience:

· 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

· Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualization environments (vSphere, ESXi, etc.).

· Proficient in Fortinet network security and firewall solutions.

· Experience managing Cohesity backup and disaster recovery solutions.

· Expertise in Windows Server environments and administration.

· Strong experience with IIS for web application management and support.

· Experience with BeyondTrust or other remote support tools is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

· In-depth knowledge of network architecture, data center management, and IT infrastructure technologies.

· Strong knowledge of security best practices, particularly in financial services environments.

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

· Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
